Maurizio Sarri claims he plans to field Juventus’ B-23 squad to face Roma this weekend due to the tight Serie A schedule that has had an impact on his team.
Juve were crowned Serie A champions for the ninth time in a row when they overcame Sampdoria 2-0 last Sunday, but they had to accept a similar defeat earlier this morning.
Six days after the end of the league, Sarri and Juve need to bounce back from a 1-0 deficit in the second leg of the Round of 16 Champions League (UCL) against Lyon.
“The problem is, we are the only European do team to play five times in 12 days,” he said.

“We need to evaluate all the action of this match and will probably bring down the B-23 squad for the last match of the league. So it will give a break to the key players. “We have nine players who are not playing due to injuries so I have concerns ahead of the meeting with Lyon. We will see which players will fully recover.”
